You've Found the "Secret Door"

There’s a club adjacent to a popular restaurant that really captured my imagination a few years ago. This club has no signage. There is no apparent entrance to it (in fact, you enter it through a phone booth). And they do not engage in any paid advertising.

One would think that having no signage of any kind, a hidden entrance, and zero paid effort to spread the word of their existence would result in their demise. Conventional business wisdom tells us these are three major strikes against any business’s chances to succeed.

And yet, the place is buzzing.

Because everyone likes to be an “insider” when it comes to things that interest them. Once a person has found the secret door to this club, they can’t wait to share their unique find with their friends who share their same interests.

Reminiscent of the Speakeasy Clubs of the 1920s

This concept undoubtedly sprouted from the days of prohibition when illicit drinking establishments and clubs were hidden from public view, yet thrived because they offered a sought-after product and atmosphere. Awareness of their existence spread through word of mouth—very quietly (thus, "speakeasy")—and passwords were required to gain access.

Of course, the days of prohibition are long gone, and I don’t condone illegal activity. The concept of sharing something with a very specific audience and allowing it to grow through a natural network of like-minded people, however, fascinates me and captures my imagination.

What This Means for You (if you want it to)...

I dislike the barrage of self-proclaimed success gurus whose paid advertising cannot be escaped on social media.

I’m weary of being pitched “can’t miss,” cookie-cutter approaches to building ones’ business that promise overnight riches.

And it really bothers me when I see hard-working business owners flush thousands of dollars down the drain by believing these pitchmen and buying into their ever-escalating offers that promise bigger success for bigger dollars, only to receive nothing more than some additional self-paced training videos and printable downloads to clutter their desks. It’s maddening!

If you can relate in any way to my little rant, please read on

Nothing gets me jazzed more than seeing people succeed at what is important to them. My personal relationships with my clients and the opportunity I have to help them meaningfully craft their futures—then see those visions materialize into reality—is what gets me up in the morning.

Because of this, I have no “email list” into which you can opt to receive my annoying, multiple-times-a-day dribble of one-way communications designed to push endless buttons in your psyche until I hit your unique “buy” button.

My Insiders hear from me when I have something valuable to share with them, which is usually once or twice a week. And the communication does NOT lead to a squeeze page offering some thousand-dollar-value course for just nineteen dollars “if you act now” (since, of course, “you’ll never see this offer again…”). Give me a break.

Is my cynicism showing through a bit? My apologies. I’ll move on…

I want to help you succeed in transforming your business into everything you imagine it can be in a way that makes sense for you.

If this means you want me to be your Fractional Chief Strategy Officer and spend live, in-person time each month in your physical location--anywhere in the world--we can do that.

If a remote group or long-distance, one-on-one interaction works best for you, we can make that happen.

And if you simply want to listen to the insights I’ve gained in my 30+ years of building businesses and apply those discoveries on your own without ever paying me a dime, I’m happy to help you in that journey as well.

This may sound a bit unbelievable, but I sincerely want our relationship to be about you. Not my private jet (because I don’t have one). Not that Rolls-Royce I’m standing in front of in all my ads (because I don't advertise in that way—and because I drive a Nissan). And most definitely not about my endless attempts to drive you up a “buyer value ladder” with constant, distracting, degrading upsells (because I try to help my clients engage with me at a productive, sustainable level from the beginning so we really accomplish what they want to from day one instead of wasting time playing the upsell game).

My cynicism reared its head a little bit again there. Moving on…

What Now?

If what I’ve said here feels like a breath of fresh air, I’m glad you found the secret door. Please make sure to thank whoever sent you here. I invite you to become an Insider, sit back, and enjoy the conversation. (Which, by the way, is all free. Please read on.)

If, however, you're feeling like I’m just one more pitchman trying to use a soft approach to get you in so I can begin to nickel-and-dime you to death, you probably shouldn’t hang around. Not because you’re right—you’re not—but because your cynicism runs even deeper than mine and may not be curable.

My Invitation to You

If you’d like to tune in to what I have to share and see if my experience in helping clients become clear on their desired outcomes, fashion strategic journeys to get there, and travel the roads that lead to those destinations with them, I invite you to take the next step and become an Insider.

Becoming an Insider will give you free access to:

The Strategy Letter (which comes out at least once a month, and often more frequently)… Exclusive episodes of Bryan’s Brain—my podcast-like audio recordings of what’s on my mind, what’s working for clients right now, and other such insights…and Online trainings and other goodies I feel like sharing with my Insiders from time to time.

Then, when you’re ready, I welcome the opportunity to enjoy a 20-minute phone visit with you to talk about your business and your vision. My Insiders have accomplished some pretty cool things just from what they take away from these calls.

And rest assured, when you decide you want to talk with me, our visit will NOT be a sales call. We’ll get right down to business—your business. And whether you choose to have that call with me soon, or it’s years from now (or never), that’s up to you.

Lest you think I’m a philanthropist who just gives away all my expertise for free to everyone, let me be clear that those who engage with me one-on-one or in group settings do actually pay me. And that’s OK, because by the time they make the decision to do so, they are clear on what they want to accomplish, why they think I’m the person to help them make it happen, and they have measurable reasons for making the investment.

Your Turn...

Alright…I’ve talked long enough. It’s your turn to decide what you want to do.

Now that you’ve found the secret door, I invite you to become an Insider and get insights on how to:

Become clear on where you’ve been, where you’re at, and where you’re going with your business…

Increase sales closing rates and revenues using highly effective, little-known methods…

Build a business that focuses on you and your vision (yes, you can have a highly successful company AND a thriving personal life)…

…and much more.

To become an Insider, simply click the button at the end of my message and share your first and last name, company name, industry, and your business email address to which you pay attention. (I promise not to send junk to you, so please reciprocate by not giving me your “junk” email address. Thank you.)

There is no fee for membership, but my expectation is that we will be connecting in a real and meaningful way, so your real information is necessary. I want to know who you are, just as I’m open with you about who I am.

If sharing this information is troublesome to you, no problem. We just don’t have a match. I’m only looking for real business owners who welcome the opportunity to interact with others who are able to help them grow their companies in a very material way without the fluff.

I consider every person with whom I interact to be a client—one under my care and protection—regardless of whether they have ever paid me. I’m simply not interested in having a large list of unengaged tire-kickers. I’m too much of a relationship-driven person for that. And what I share with my Insiders is proven, business-building meat; not table scraps that always lead to a pitch to buy something.

Our Mutual Expectations

Once you’re inside, my expectation is that what I share—in conjunction with your implementation—is going to make a significant, positive impact on your business, whether or not you ever engage at a paid level. We owe it to each other to be open so we can make that happen.

Once you’ve joined, my autoresponder will send you a copy of The Strategy Letter™ to get you started. This issue of the letter, entitled “The 3 Primary Reasons Strategies Fail,” will set the stage for your becoming more strategic in your business efforts by sharing the twelve stages of effective strategy development and execution.

You can also expect to get a personal email from me in the coming days—one that isn’t sent by an autoresponder. I enjoy interacting with real business owners who are looking for legitimate paths to their desired outcomes. I know this kind of low-tech, personal connection is a bit old-fashioned, but it’s just the way I am.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better by reading my message. I look forward to getting to know you, your business, and your vision better as you choose to open those doors to me.

Here’s to your ongoing success!

Sincerely, Bryan Waldon Pope | Deep Strategist

P.S. Knowing you’re not signing up on some mass, blind email list by accepting my offer to become an Insider may be a bit unnerving to some people. We like our anonymity. I get that. I’m the same way until I have some level of trust that I’m not going to get hit with a tidal wave of marketing messages and sales pitches.

If you feel you need to know me a little better before taking the step of becoming an Insider, please take a look at My Story , read my "Decade of Big Wins" Proclamation that shares the results of my work for my clients, or, if you like, shoot a quick message to me to make sure I’m real. I promise I'll respond personally.

I’m happy to interact in whatever way is best and comfortable for you to feel confident in your decision to become an Insider. And you have my word that when you become an Insider, you’ll be interacting with me, and only me. Again, that may be a bit old-fashioned, but it’s just the way I am.

Thank you. I look forward to sharing my experience and insights with you in the way that works best for you.
